Every venue listing now tells you where it sits in the region
We’ve added a new section to every single venue listing page in the directory — all 38 active venues now have a regional positioning paragraph that tells you exactly what area the venue covers, which towns and cities are within easy reach, and whether it’s the only gay sauna in its county or region.
This was built using real search data. We looked at what people are actually searching for — things like “gay sauna near Sheffield”, “gay sauna Kent”, or “gay sauna Northern Ireland” — and made sure the answer is right there on the relevant venue page.
Some examples: The Boiler Room Sheffield now explains it’s South Yorkshire’s only gay sauna covering Rotherham, Doncaster, Barnsley, and Chesterfield. Steamworks Edinburgh is positioned as Edinburgh’s only gay sauna in the heart of the Pink Triangle. ME1 Rochester is identified as Kent’s only gay sauna covering Chatham, Maidstone, Canterbury, and Dartford.
Navigation update
The Magazine section has been promoted to the main menu — our articles, app reviews, and guides are now front and centre. We’ve also added a new A–Z city dropdown so you can find your nearest sauna by city name, and tidied Events into the “More” menu to keep the main navigation focused.
Cleaner page titles in search results
Every page on the site previously had “- gaysaunas.co.uk” appended to its title in search results. That’s been removed — page titles now show exactly what’s written, giving you a cleaner, more useful result when you find us on Google.
