Gay saunas in the South East
Four venues across Brighton, Hove, Portsmouth and Rochester. Every listing verified with current prices, hours, and facilities.
Brighton is one of the UK’s most LGBTQ-friendly cities, and its sauna scene reflects that. The Brighton Sauna on Grand Parade (BN2) sits near the seafront and the heart of the city’s gay quarter around St James’s Street — a multi-level venue with steam, cabins, bar, and roof terrace.
The Boiler Room on Denmark Villas in Hove (BN3) is around two miles west — roughly a 10-minute drive or 30-minute seafront walk. Both venues are within easy reach of Brighton station.
Tropics Day Spa is Portsmouth’s sole gay sauna, located just off Commercial Road in the city centre (PO1). It serves a loyal local crowd from Portsmouth, Southsea and the surrounding Hampshire area.
Portsmouth Harbour station is nearby, making the venue easy to reach from Southampton and beyond. The city’s Guildhall Walk nightlife area is a short walk from the venue for those combining visits.
ME1 Sauna Rochester is Kent’s premier gay sauna, situated at Foundry Wharf on the banks of the River Medway. Rochester is served by high-speed rail from London St Pancras in as little as 34 minutes, making it one of the most accessible out-of-London venues in the South East.
The venue draws visitors from across Kent, Medway, and the Thames Gateway area. Check the listing for current opening hours before travelling, as they can vary by day.
