About
Sweatbox – Soho, London
Sweatbox Soho is a 24/7 gay sauna and gym at Ramillies House, 1–2 Ramillies Street, London (W1F 7LN), two minutes’ walk from Oxford Circus. Spread across three floors, it’s the only venue in London that combines a full clothing-optional gym with thermal spa facilities in a male-only environment, and one of two 24-hour gay saunas in the capital. The venue partners with 56 Dean Street for weekly on-site sexual health checkups.
Open around the clock, 365 days a year. Card only — no cash. Under-25s get free entry on Mondays and Thursdays. A weekly events programme runs throughout the week including foam parties, naked nights, and naked workouts.
Sweatbox sits at Ramillies House on Ramillies Street, a quiet turning just off Oxford Street in the heart of Soho. Oxford Circus station is a two-minute walk — Bakerloo, Central, and Victoria lines all stop there — putting the venue within easy reach of virtually anywhere in London and anyone arriving at a mainline terminus. For men searching for a gay sauna in Soho, a gay sauna near Oxford Street, or a gay sauna in the West End, Sweatbox is the one in the middle of it all.
The location matters because of what surrounds it. Old Compton Street is five minutes on foot, putting Soho’s bars and the wider LGBTQ+ scene right on the doorstep. The 24-hour opening means a visit can happen at any point — before a night out, after one, or on a quiet weekday afternoon. Tourists find it particularly convenient; Ramillies Street is equidistant from Piccadilly Circus and Tottenham Court Road, and both Oxford Circus and Bond Street are Elizabeth line stops connecting directly to Heathrow and Paddington. The West End address and round-the-clock access make Sweatbox the most centrally located gay sauna in London.

What visitors say
Reviews
Sweatbox Soho is widely described as London’s busiest gay sauna, with visitors highlighting the unique gym-and-sauna combination, the 24/7 operation, and the prime Soho location.
The ability to combine a full gym workout with a thermal spa session in the same venue is the feature most frequently cited as the reason for choosing Sweatbox over other London saunas. No other gay sauna in London offers this.
The around-the-clock schedule is consistently praised as a major practical advantage. Visitors highlight it as ideal for shift workers, post-club visitors, early risers, and international travellers arriving at odd hours. The venue maintains a genuine atmosphere throughout the day rather than feeling empty during off-peak times.
Being two minutes from Oxford Circus and a short walk from Old Compton Street places Sweatbox at the centre of London’s gay nightlife district. Visitors frequently mention combining a session with a night out in Soho.
The venue draws a consistently busy and diverse crowd. Visitors describe a younger-leaning demographic, particularly on Hard Up nights, with a mix of regulars, tourists, and gym users.
The partnership with 56 Dean Street for weekly on-site sexual health checkups is specifically mentioned by several visitors as a reason they trust the venue’s commitment to wellbeing.
