Redruth Sauna was Cornwall's only dedicated gay-friendly male relaxation venue, operating from The Grange in Penstruthal, just outside Redruth. Sessions ran on Sunday and Monday afternoons, welcoming gay, bisexual, straight, curious, and TV/TS visitors for sauna, hot tub, and relaxation meets.
The venue permanently closed its group sessions in February 2026, leaving the far South West without a dedicated gay sauna. The nearest option is now Manticore Spa in Plymouth — around 49 miles east across the Tamar and the only dedicated gay sauna serving Cornwall and Devon. Manticore runs Friday to Tuesday with late-night sessions on Friday and Saturday, a 12-person sauna, a 25-person steam room, a licensed bar, and regular themed events. Beyond Plymouth the next nearest options are Steamer Quay in Torquay (around 77 miles) and Greenhouse Sauna in Newport, South Wales (around 136 miles).
